Notice of Public Hearing
In furtherance of Her Excellence Governor M. Jodi Rell’s Executive Order 7b The State Contracting Standards Board is holding a Public Hearing on July 11, 2006 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM Room 1C of the Legislative Office Building Hartford, CT 06106. The public hearing is being held to garner comment from all interested parties on the State of CT procurement system. The Board is in the process of preparing a uniform procurement code to govern all aspects of procurement and contracting involving all expenditures by and revenues to all state contracting agencies in connection with all of their transactions involving real property, all manner of goods, personal property and services, information technology and the construction, reconstruction, alteration, remodeling, repair or demolition of buildings and public works. CCIA members attended attended CTDOT’s press conference in Farmington highlighting National Work Zone Awareness Week, which honors the workers and professionals who help keep construction zones safe. CCIA President Don Shubert, was a one of the speakers, who urged motorists to take an active role in protecting roadway workers and drivers. -
