This has been a joint program sponsored by the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) and the Connecticut Asphalt & Aggregate Producers Association. The Asphalt Paving Awards Program is open to asphalt paving projects annually. These awards are recognized at the annual CAAPA Paving Conference, scheduled on Friday, April 19, 2024. The Arthur Gruhn Excellence in Construction Awards competition was initiated in 2008 as a joint program between ConnDOT and the industry to highlight and showcase the high quality of projects delivered for the public benefit in Connecticut. This annual award is open to any Connecticut Road Builder Association member project.
