Build Connecticut Awards

AGC-CT members are encouraged to apply for a Build Connecticut Award following the requirements below. Award winners will be selected by a panel of judges representing all sectors of the construction and design community in Connecticut. Awards will be presented at the Build Connecticut Awards Dinner. 

The next opportunity to apply for a Build Connecticut Award will be in September of 2025.

Submission Deadline

The application deadline will be announced in late September of 2025.

How to Apply

Applications will be hosted on the online platform Smarter Select. 

Eligibility

Projects: Eligible projects must have been built in Connecticut and completed between January 1, 2023 and October 31, 2025. No constructor applicant will be eligible to win more than one award per category; however, if a project fits into more than one category, a separate application may be filed for each project. 

Applicants: Applicants must be members in good standing of the AGC of Connecticut who were prime contractors or specialty contractors on the project(s) for which the application(s) is being filed.

Award Categories

  •   1. Construction Management/General Contractor: New Large Construction (>$30 m.)
  •   2. Construction Management/General Contractor: New Mid-Size Construction ($10 m. - $30 m.)
  •   3. Construction Management/General Contractor: New Small Construction (<$10 m.)
  •   4. Construction Management/General Contractor: Large Renovation (>$30 m.)
  •   5. Construction Management/General Contractor: Mid-Size Renovation ($10 m. - $30 m.)
  •   6. Construction Management/General Contractor: Small Renovation (<$10 m.)
  •   7. Specialty Contracting: Electrical
  •   8. Specialty Contracting: Mechanical
  •   9. Specialty Contracting: Concrete
  • 10. Specialty Contracting: Interiors (Drywall, ceilings, flooring, wall coverings)
  • 11. Specialty Contracting: Exteriors (Exterior walls, roofing, building envelopes)
  • 12. Specialty Contracting: Sitework/Landscapes
  • 13. Other Specialty Construction (Other construction not included in above categories)
