Frank E. Downes Construction Co. was honored at AGC's Annual Meeting for their leadership and involvement in AGC over the years. Twenty-one years ago, Michael T. Timura was President of AGC/CT, and now his son Gary Timura was elected as the 40th President of the AGC/CT, and was bestowed with Mike's AGC Jacket.

Also at the Annual Meeting, Travelers Construction honored both father and son with a commemorative plaque and a sizeable contribution to the Iwo Jima Memorial located at the Iwo Jima Survivors Memorial Park located in New Britain, CT, one of the Timura's favorite causes.

The officers also announced a new award "The John Farnham Award" which was presented to AGC Executive Director John Farnham in recognition of his many contributions and services to the AGC of Connecticut over the past fifteen years.
