Common Ground Alliance, the stakeholder-run organization focused on protecting underground utility lines and the people who dig near them, announced it has created a series of safety videos to assist with educating the public and professionals on the importance of digging safely and detailing the five-step damage prevention process.
The Annual Country Infrastructure Capacity Survey suggests that the United States is falling into second-rate status in the infrastructure arena, becoming a country that does not attract top-flight expertise or resources to its infrastructure business, according to Rebuilding America’s Infrastructure magazine. In particular, responses on questions about leadership and vision yielded lower scores than any previously surveyed country.
The National Conference of State Legislatures, in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration Office of Operations, publishes the NCSL Transportation Operations, Management and ITS Legislation Database, which categorizes in-depth information about bills and executive orders that have been introduced in the fifty states and the District of Columbia related to the operation and management of the surface transportation system.
