A provision in the pending healthcare bill that singles out construction companies.

The provision, slipped into the “Manager’s Amendment” version of the bill, would classify construction companies with more than five (5) full-time employees and an annual payroll of at least $250,000 as “large employers.” These “large employers” would have additional responsibilities for employee healthcare under this bill.
The Senate is targeting a final vote on the bill before the holiday. Please contact your U.S. Senate offices and express opposition to this provision as soon as possible.
