Vice President Joe Biden, Senator Chris Dodd and Congressman Jim Himes visited the “Safety Improvements of the Merritt Parkway Federal Stimulus Project” on Monday, October 6, 2009. Senator Dodd organized the event to support the use of federal recovery funds for infrastructure improvements, creating jobs, and driving economic growth. Craig Miller, the project superintendent for O&G Industries, Inc., had the honor of introducing Vice President Biden. Senator Dodd went out of his way to recognize CCIA at the event, and made sure that CCIA President Don Shubert had the opportunity to meet with Vice President Biden.
