AGC of Connecticut is pleased to announce that the 2010 Build Connecticut Awards Program will be Tuesday evening, February 23, 2010 at the Aqua Turf Club, Plantsville, CT.
Build CT is Connecticut’s most prestigious awards program recognizing construction firms who have completed projects of excellence in the past three years. This year, we are excited to offer six new Build CT award categories, all representing various specialty contractor trades.
1. Construction Management/General Contractor: New Large Construction (>$10 m.)
2. Construction Management/General Contractor: New Small Construction (<$10 m.)
3. Construction Management/General Contractor: Large Renovation (>$5 m.)
4. Construction Management/General Contractor: Small Renovation (<$5 m.)
5. Specialty Contracting: Electrical NEW!
6. Specialty Contracting: Mechanical NEW!
7. Specialty Contracting: Interiors (Drywall, ceilings, flooring, wall coverings) NEW!
8. Specialty Contracting: Exteriors (Exterior walls, roofing, building envelopes) NEW!
9. Specialty Contracting: Sitework/Landscape NEW!
10. Other Specialty Construction (Other construction not included in above categories) NEW!
As applications are received and reviewed, AGC/CT reserves the right to consolidate categories, and to not award in certain categories, as necessary.
(a) Projects
Eligible projects must have been built in Connecticut and completed between January 1, 2006 and October 31, 2009. No constructor applicant will be eligible to win more than one award; however, if a project fits into more than one category, a separate application may be filed for each project.
(b) Applicants
Applicants must be members in good standing of the AGC/CT who were prime contractors or specialty contractors on the project(s) for which the application(s) is being filed.
Attached is the Application Kit, which includes instructions, rules, and the application form. We hope your firm will choose to submit an application for one or more categories.
Please note that the deadline for application is Friday, December 18, 2009.
